Meru Networks Adds Lauded Wireless Industry Analyst Rachna Ahlawat to Executive Team

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 25, 2007 — Meru Networks, the leader in standards-based workplace mobility infrastructure for wireless voice (VoIP), data and video, today announced that Rachna Ahlawat has joined the company as vice president of strategic marketing and will oversee corporate communications activities and development of new strategic markets for Meru. In addition, Ahlawat will help to guide the product direction for Meru’s industry-leading wireless LAN (WLAN) system.

Most recently, Ahlawat was lead analyst for WLAN, security and management at Gartner, Inc. An expert in wired and wireless networking technologies, wireless security, voice over WLAN and fixed and mobile convergence (FMC), Ahlawat advised a number of networking vendors on their go-to-market strategies. Prior to this role, Ahlawat was the worldwide lead for wired networking for the Enterprise Networking Group. Among other positions held, Ahlawat led market research activities related to telecommunications for AC Nielsen’s marketing and research group in New Delhi, India.
