Vibe Enterprises created the media platform for the hip-hop and urban movement. It was a joint venture between Time Inc. Ventures and Quincy Jones Enterprises.

Teymour Boutros-Ghali led the seed, series A and B investment on behalf of Time Inc. Ventures from 1991-1996.

The company was sold in 1996 to Miller Publishing and today is highly profitable, representing one of the most successful new monthly magazines launched in the last ten years.
